I, like many writers, started out as an avid reader. As a child, I consumed books as a form of escapism from the monotony of completing my homework assignments. Years later, not much has changed—apart from my shift toward helping curate stories that inform, inspire, and, when needed, offer an escape to the reader.

Stepping into journalism was a change in the narrative of the stories I helped curate, but it introduced a sense of realism and community to storytelling that I feel is often lacking in everyday communications. As a communications specialist, I bring nearly a decade of experience working on the front lines of an industry whose sole mission is to give a voice to those who need to speak—and, more importantly, to reach those who need to hear.
